Raise your hand if you’re getting really fucking Raise your hand if you’re getting really fucking sick of your own house. 🤚Yes, it happens to me, too. Even pre-pandemic I had a habit of constantly changing things, and going into a quarantined winter, I knew swapping art would be a quick-and-easy (though not necessarily inexpensive) way to make our home feel fresh-ish.

Still, when @missiekayart DM’d in late December asking if I wanted a piece for #theboozybungalow, I was ready to say no. I get lots of similar offers, and usually it’s just not a good fit. But I immediately loved her style — especially because black paint is my faaaaaaavorite.

A few days later she dropped this giant beauty on my porch, and it took me, like, two months to clean this corner of the dining room because #pandemicparenting.

When I clean the other half of the room I’ll show you my new light fixture and curtains. In the meantime, I’ve linked to Missie’s new Etsy shop in my bio — because, really, it’s the least I can do to thank her for this big, beautiful piece of art I should have posted about in January.
🛏 ✨Remember when I rearranged the entire hous 🛏 ✨Remember when I rearranged the entire house to survive a quarantined winter with two small kids? Well, I never did anything about our new bedroom. It was a prime example of “blah.” And I was waking up in pain nearly every hour — every fucking night — because of our saggy mattress (even after I added a foam topper to my side only 🤣).

So I burned it all down and started over. Yesterday I woke up in the Nook of Blah and tomorrow I will wake up in the hotel bed of my dreams. I mean, a little more space on each side would be nice but I’m working with what we have and I’m just thrilled to actually SLEEP again. I tried out the mattress last night and slept ALL NIGHT.

I’ll make a blog post soon (heh) with links to everything. Until then, swipe for the embarrassingly awful before. ➡️
🛀🏻I found my happy place and it’s @no_vaca 🛀🏻I found my happy place and it’s @no_vacancy in Kansas City. Specifically the clawfoot tub in Studio Five, but really the entire space is a dream (and made me realize how badly we need a new mattress at home). You can find more details in my stories while they last. Huuuuuge thanks to @wayofspencer for offering this very tired and overwhelmed mom a much-needed night away — alone. 🙏😘 Link to this magical and seemingly very safe spot to distance from everything in my bio.
Some people have used these quarantimes for self i Some people have used these quarantimes for self improvement. I, on the other hand, seem to have officially exhausted all my fucks in that area. At least my bathroom floor is looking good? I just refreshed the grout, thanks for asking! Swipe for the other end of this head-to-toe lewk. #influencer #iwokeuplikethis #andstayedlikethisallday #psfucktrump
